thanks for the info. I've never seen any reports of Cband feedhunting! None of the websites I go to (ie. satelliweb) ever mentioned anything. It seems like c band feedhunting is the mutt's nuts!

    my bad, must change glasses
do you think one can receive these feeds with a smaller offset dish in western europe?

    Hello,

for a lot of feeds on Intelsat 9 you will need >300cm dish. Only in some case a smaller dishsize works too.

I´m a youngster in C-Band Feedhunting, only about 1,5 years. More of my reports you can see here: _http://forum.dxtv.de/wbb/board.php?boardid=43

    Best Regards

    Hello kamaleon,

150cm is very small for C-Band.

(Maybe? Not tested myself!) you could get EBU Mux on NSS 806 @40,5°W at 4095 L 30000 3/4 in DVB-S2 (4:2:2). There are also Football feeds on. Most regular transmission on Intelsat 805 @55,5°W works fine with 150cm.

Maybe 180cm dish is possible too for you? I would prefer this!

    Good luck!
    Edgar.

Hi again, do you watch the dvb-S2 4:2:2 on a PC, right? as there's no STB that does this yet. What card do you use? What blind-scanning stb do you have?

    Hello,

I use C-Tech HD 5000-C-Plus for blind scanning in DVB-S2.

Screenshots are made with Terratec Cinergy S2 PCI HD PC-Card (even for 4:2:2 in DVB-S2).

Openbox X-810 is for blind scanning in DVB-S. It works very fine!

    Best Regards
    Edgar.

    Hello,

EBU Feeds on NSS 806 @40,5°W at 4095 L 30000 3/4 are transmitted in DVB-S2 8PSK (MPEG-2 or MPEG-4/H.264 ? -> I´m not sure) with mostly 4:2:2/ some times 4:2:0 in clear/encrypted -> with any HD-PC card there should be no problem by using the right Video Decoder (Elecard/CyberLink H.264 for example) and software (DVBViewer for example).

    Best Regards
    Edgar.

My pc is fully 4:2:2, dvb-S2 and H.264 capable, with CoreAVC codec and alt-dvb, and my screen is 1920x1200. I was just wondering if any of these feeds you've reported here on the board were HD, whether mpeg2 or mpeg4 doesn't matter. Just so I realise how much one is missing when one doesn't have a 3m C-band setup
