    RE: problem with elvis

    for nobbly.
Just received e-mail from ad-teknik ,Quote "the problem is usually caused by a bug in our software,It's not a fault of the programmer nor your cards. But we haven't located this problem as it appears to be a compatibility problem with different softwares you have installed on your computer. So unfortunately I have no other advice to give you other than to wait for next windows release which will hopefully be ready by xmas, or use the dos based software instead"

So it would seem I was wrong to blame the cards.Hope this helps some other readers

    RE: problem with elvis

In that case you could always install a clean version of windows on a new parition , and use a boot program like boot magic to boot to the clean partition which just has the programmer software installed.

    or wait

    RE: problem with elvis

    Hi
I'm afraid I've no real advice to give. All I can tell you is that I have successfully used the Elvis since my problems, the fault seems to be intermittent, but when it occurs it tend to damage the card. You may not experience any problems at all.Loads of people have the Elvis and it seems to me that very few have problems. However if the promised new software download doesn't materialise soon ,I intend to take Nobbly's advice and partition my hard drive.
    regards
    Guardian
