i have a smartcard gold one from school and i want to copy it,
if downloaded several programs and found out that i just cant read the card that i want to copy.

so is there a program that detects what kind of card and chipset i use on my card that i want to copy.

hope you guys can help me out here

    im 18
and like i said im new at this..
    i already come much further
i keep the problem in IC Prog "resseting card failed"

i know now that i first must read the PIC copy that code and store it put a loader in the pic
en then i must be able to read the Eeprom, unfortunaly im not as u can see.

i use a open platform gold card.

the question for me is now: why do i get this error "Resseting card failed"

Most if not all of the second generation cards can not be read, and there are guys out there with bigger PC’s that have failed.
The card you have sounds like a second gen card.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.
It's also pretty essential for you to know what the card is that you are trying to read, being gold in colour may not be significant, what does the card do?.

You may run the risk of killing the card whilst trying to read it.
