The independent ISP Brightview that owns 10 British ISPs, has gone into administration.
Brightview was put into administration on Wednesday, but customers have been told that they should not experience any disruption to their service.
The company's ISPs include callnet, madasafish, freenetname and Totalsise.
Brightview is refusing to comment on the issue, but The Register reports that the administration follows a long dispute among shareholders.
The administrators, David Rubin and Partners, have said that the business will survive as a whole rather than being sold off as separate entities. The financial structure of the company will however be changed by the administration order, which will specifically address the company's debt and equity strategy.
