NEW DELHI: The telecom regulatory authority of India (Trai) has decided that it will not regulate tariffs of DTH operators. This comes even as the regulator recently imposed a cap on channels under CAS.

One Amazing Thing in my Dishtv connection since 2 years.........For the first time I am watching NDTV 24x7, Zone Reality tv and all other Dishtv channels without having subscribed to them..

Dont know what happen........I can watch all the Dishtv channel even though I subscribed to just dish welcome north package........ I can watch

Zee bioscope ( zee premiere, classic , action)
Dish Plus.. ( Nick, Pogo, animax, Bomerang, TCM,Trace tv, Vh1, Zee studio, zone reality)

Dish news ( ndtv 24/7, zee business, cnbc tv 18, cnbc awaaz, times now)

all these channels are running since afternoon ......coz i checked it in afternoon only........ but not exactly sure from when they are coming...... but still after 4 hours I can still get to watchall those..........

Only missing are Star channels which are in dish plus etc such as star movies, channel v, star news and 3 cartoon channels)


Anyone else getting these channels.........

Yeah, read those interviews and saw the challenger trophy coverage. That's why I was joking about the premium content and packaging.
ESPN-STAR Sports still seem the most professional of the lot, less advertisements and more sport.

On the brighter side, I continued my efforts and from today I have started receiving the Hindi entertainment channels.

I completely ageee. I also had a similar problem with getting Hindi channels after opting for Tamil/Malayalam. I started the process on Sunday.
First a phone call.
Then an email
Then a fax.
Then another phone call.
Then another email.
Web updation.
Then suddently all channels disappeared.
I again called up. Told them I don't care even if they take one month to activate my connection as per my requirements. But do not charge me during that period. That was an ultimatum. I also made sure that they know that I have records of every single interaction.

Today morning the Hindi channels came back. The not so important Malayalam channels become inaccessible.

The bottom line we have no right to crib unless if also do not do our best address the concerns we have by approaching the right person/authorities.
If that also also doesn't work, we do have consumer redressal forums.

Believe me I have got Rs. 150 back from ICICI bank.
I have always deducated money from my cable subscription if the cable operators went on strike- this used to happen quite frequently in Bangalore.

Today I enjoyed my DishTV connection. The cable guys blanked out all non-Kannada channels today. I am glad I don't have to worry deducting the money.

As for me I would rather deal with a 'lousy' corporate rather than a local thug.
