Did you order the 1224 with the link I pm`ed you?
that is a good deal as they are hard to find one anywhere. i had to buy the 1224 to motorise my dish
nice JD. Glad it worked out for you.
Yes also re badged as the dark gold lnb and re pricedget yourself a BEST 0.1db LNB, they're great.![]()
Any views on these LNB's?
Could you be more clear on this Pedro?
What we found was that weaker satellite reception is improved.
You say "high-ish" numbers do you mean frequencies or signal rates?
If you meant frequencies then Nilesat and Badr operate both above 11700mhz
if you mean signal rates, then this is another matter because this has to do with local oscillator stability.
Anyway both Nilesat and Badr operate with the 27500 signal rate. Excepting the feeds of course and the Oman mux on Badr.

Just quality %
... the Best .1 LNBfs hit high-ish quality numbers compared to a number of well known LNBfs ... Inverto/ Invacom/ Sharp/ MTI/ Smart/ etc... but only the Best .1 showed this irregular 'wobble'. For example a Q signal of 70- 75% (quality / each) on the above LNBs all showed a steady figure only fluctuating 1-2% each... the Best wobbled 5% or more- it's peak values matching some of the above LNBfs but dropping below all the above at its lowest.
A good test would be to move the dish slightly off sat to near breakup point and see what those 'low' points do compared to the other LNBfs re picture breakup.
What that wobble is I'm not sure....amped up?
I have not noted these anomalies.
I shall check and will get back to you.
By the way the Best quattros have no problem at all.
Bought a 2.5 meter by 75mm pole have brackets to be welded on. I also bought a meter lenght of this type pole with some metal struts to use as a ground mount to get everything set up on the ground.
Pics to follow.
Regards JD Belgium.
On wednesday aternoon I got the hardware ie the metal poles etc.
Yesterday evening a pal welded all the bits needed.
I have a ground mount to line out everything on the ground plus the wall mount which I will take a few pics of tomorow. If the weather is ok I'll line out and then attach the wall mount to the wall.
Enclosed a few pics.
Comments welcome.

Very nice dish!
No wonder the little guy is standing there, you have nicked his car play mat!![]()
Hello,
Things are all bolted together, plugged in the LNB to the receiver, connected the Jeager actuator. Got Thor got the horizontals on Nile sat but little other. Should I as I'm in Belgium use Sirius as my starting point. I've read lots so any tips welcome.
Regards JD Belgium.
yes, you need to align the dish on the nearest satellite to your location, what is your latitude and longitude ?
also have you set the polar mount elevation correctly with an angle finder ? this is set to your latitude figure - 90 to get the degrees setting for it
Dish Setup Data
Latitude: 51.1063°
Longitude: 5.1581° Name: 5.0E Sirius 3 | Sirius 4 | Thor 2
Distance: 38483km Motor Latitude: 51.1°
Declination Angle: 7.4°
Dish Elevation: °
Elevation: 31.5°
Azimuth (true): 180.2°
Azimuth (magn.): 180.2°
LNB Skew: 0.1° Dish Skew: 90.0°
Off out with my spanners will report back.
Regards JD Belgium.
You can nudge your polarmount over to 0.2e (on the dial on the polar mount) and leave it there, then look for 5e turning the whole polarmount on the pole and the dish up and down until you are in the middle of 5e and then tighten up then do the rest of the arc.

There is an Ebayseller currently doing them for £13 delivered; just ordered one, so should know about the seller's service and performance of the LNB soon.
