    My System: Eurovox EX8000 HD+, Quali-TV QS 1080IR (for 4:2:2), Nokia Sat 8003 S (analogue)

DiSEqC 1.2 won´t pick up certain European positions

    I have a motorised 100 cm dish using the HH100 or HH120 rotor sat, and I use the Vantage HD 8000S for this. I do get these positions: 1W, 5E, 10/9E, 13E, 16E, 19E, 26E (a handful channels) and 28E.

The odd thing happening is that I do not get the motor to stop on 23.5E and 7E - it just turns back to 1W or stands still. And yes - I have the same indications in the motor setup as for the other positions.

I do not get 9E, 1W (the Intelsat part) and 28.5E as stand-alone positions either, but luckily I get those "together" with W1 10E, Thor 1W and Astra 2 28.2E using the blind scan function.

My question is: In what way can i solve this problem?

Have you moved the motor to the 'missing'positions and stored them?

I have tried, but it won´t move when I try this manually.

Is it 1w or zero .. an action a motor can perform when it gets a fault.... usually it should try again after doing a reset/ recalc to motor zero.

It does sound like it could be a motor fault btw.

have you tried diseqc 1.2 instead ..

I believe it is the motor too, because I also tried the Humax HDCI-2000 which have been running a motor on a diseh where I lived before. But I did not get any response from the motor with this receiver now, as with the Vantage. I will try to reset the motor. Thanks.

Also check your connections. I have seen a motor refuse to move when there are dodgy connctions, even though the IF passes down the cable OK

Also, I would double check that they are all setup correctly before any surgery on the motor... going to zero or not moving is also indicative of setup problems such as default USALS or diseqc position (0.0) or wrong diseqc number allocated or motor not selected.

Thanks for your advice, folks. It seems there were a wrong limit setting which caused this. It has now been fixed, and I get the motor moving to all my preferred sat positions, including 23.5 E and 7 E.
