    Echolink EL 777 Please Help!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,

I am new to this forum so please be patient with me as I can be annoying!!.

My wife has come from morocco and she loves her Arabic channels so I decided to get a dish fitted with these channels.

I had a person fit a satellite for me using the Hot bird 1/2/3/4/5/6 please correct if i am wrong

Everything has gone smoothly every channel was working and 2 weeks into this all of the channels has stopped receiving signal.

The individual who fitted this has changed his number and I have no way of resolving this issue.

Can you please explain how I can retrieve these channels as the wife is lonely without those particular channels?

I have the Echolink EL 777.

    Thanks

    Hello

    Welcome to the forum morocco2009

You need to explain a bit more, e.g. what channels were you receiving?
Can you still receive other channels?
Is it just that the channels are being received but not decoded?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

The arabic channels that she was watching on a regular basis, was 2M Maroc, al aoula Al Maghreb, Arrabiba & Arradiida, BBC News, Al Jazeera English, Tunis.

I still have channel 4, film 4 and some other channels but about 80% of the channels have no singal.

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S, GDS 7000HD

Chances are the dish has moved slightly.

Mark the current dish mounting locations with a pencil so you can find a start point if you get hopelessly lost, then move the dish slightly east and west, checking the tv every time you move it.

DONT try to access it if its high up and you arent confident on ladders. If you find the signal nip the bolts up with a spanner.
    Analoguesat's message to the world

    Yes

I would certainly agree with the diagnoses already made, a slight dish movement due to strong winds can take you off satellite.
