My System: I have a sky dish and dell laptop.

    How to get Taiwanese Channels??

    Please Please could anyone help.

My mum has just arrived to the UK, I have Sky, thinking it provided more than 2 mandarin speaking channels!!!
I am willing to buy all necessary equipment and register with the best to get my mum channels from Taiwan.
She really likes, CITV, TVBS, ET and anything else that is from taiwan.
Please could some one tell me the step by step process to what I need and who to contact. I really want to make her stay here as comfortable as possible!!

    Thanks.

    Sam

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.
There really is very little indeed.

All I can find are Da-Ai 2, Hwazan and MAC Tv (All Free to Air) plus ETTV News America (Subscription Channel) all on the Telstar Satellite.

I dare say there might be one or two more worthwhile Channels I haven't unearthed, but I very much doubt it.

Me too - 'cos I'm curious!

Edit: Ah, neat. Possibilities there, perhaps - If you can get the Site to work. Every time I select Taiwan, it jumps back to Afghanistan .............

ok, I have tried all suggested but unfortunatly, no luck. vtuner.com is more a radio channel and yes TVBS is a Hong Kong company but they have taiwanese discussions, news and channels. I have yet to find any that broadcast in uk.

I'm sorry my earlier pessimism seems to have been justified

TVBS do broadcast into the UK - just not via Sky - they use a different satellite - so you would need some extra equipment
