My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. A Foxsat HDR which moves with me between the UK and France. Main TV: UK Philips 42PFL9632; France 47PFL9632 My lovely little lappy, Toshiba Satellite Pro L20
30 west - the position of the satellite above the earth in relation Greenwich at 0 longitude.

hispsat - the name of the satellite, or close group of satellites that are effectively one huge satellite.

1b-1d - not too sure with Hispasat but probably the satellites within the close group concerned

11.616 - the frequency of the channel concerned. It will also usually say aither H or V to tell you the polarity.

sr27500 - the symbol rate (in kilobauds), basically the total amount of information being sent out each second. Sometimes also seen as 27.5 Mbaud.

fec 3/4 - the forward error correction ratio, basically the number of extra bits of information sent in order to give a reasonable chance you being able to receive a signal if the conditions get tricky.
