    NewCS Help

    Hi peeps

I've read the rules on this topic so I am going to make my post as vague as possible.

I understand that through the NewCS Management Console I can add clients which are saved into the NewCS.xml file.

If a receive an N-line in return, would I save this to NewCS.xml or does it go into my CCcam.cfg file.

I'm trying to be vague as possible as I got told off last time.

    I hope I haven't broken any rules.

    Thanks in advance.

yes use the newcs web interface to add users.
then create an n line incorporating the user and pass you created in newcs.
then give this n line to your client (or yourself) to put in cccam.cfg but be warned n lines can be a bit dodgy to give out to people you dont know or trust

    My System: DM800 with Smargo and Sky UK World+HD option - Toroidal dish with 8 lnb ( 28.2E, 19.2E, 16E, 13E, 9E, 4.8E, 0.8W, 4W) + DM7020s + SkyUK freesat and 120m movable dish with stab rotor and invacom lnb.
Newcs is something useful to read a smartcard; but it can't work without another emu (as CCcam, Mgcam, Evocamd...).

In newcs.xml you may create several users, but each one of these willl have to create a call to the newcs on its real emu to access to the card .

CCcam emu uses for this N line. So, every N line should be fixed into your CCcam.

Does that mean I can only have a maximum of 7 clients? So in otherwords I can only add 7 people through the NewCS Management Console.

    Thanks for your help.

If Nlines aren't secure is it possible to use F&C lines and avoid N lines altogether as I'm using Newcs with CCcam ?

    Thanks

Yes, but you will still need to put an n line on your own dreambox and an f line then give out a c line to your clients.
They will then be recieving at hops2 but it shouldnt really make any difference.

In the CCcam config would I still leave the server listen port 12000 as it is or do I change it to the same port as NewCS ?

    I hope I make sense ?

    Thanks

leave it on a different port to the newcs port but be sure to forward the cccam port to the ip address of your dreambox otherwise no one in the outside world will be able to connect to you
