e2_loadepg stopped working

When I tune to hip hop it does not clear. Anybody else have this problem? This causes e2_loadepg to fail as it cannot read the epg.

You can use IEPG 1 instead of Hip Hop. Just change it from a data channel to a tv channel with Dreamboxedit. Its FTA background music on the same transponder as Hip Hop. Carries the data stream.

Use Dreamboxedit to ftp your settings to the pc. Look for Data channels on 28.2 . Highlight the IEPG1 channel. Right click on it and click on the "Change to tv type" Then Just add it to your epg boquet and if the loader is set to auto download it wiil when you select the channel.

Unfortunately I use Gemini so it is not quite as automatic as Nabilo. But by inserting the "EPG background audio" into the bslybsat.conf file, it seems to have fixed the problem. Just waiting to see if it updates correctly. Note: I did not have IEPG 1 channel in lamedb.
This could be the start of the blackout tho.

Is your hip hop now nd$? Maybe the download works even if the channel does not clear? I am just used to the channel clearing.

Guys I have sly world full card and I still don't clear hip hop, must be a premium channel for some strange reason. However I still get EPG from it and always have done.

It used to clear, but I did not look to see if it was encrypted before. Now it is definitely encrypted and does not clear

Yeah I have full Sky package and it only cleared with a share but it did grab the data stream. Think it must be part of music extra option. But i did have trouble with it freezing the box in the first versions of blackhole with the epg grabber. Thats why I used IEPG1.

I just grab a ready made file now using the SatMan link in BH0.12. I've never seen a sly UK EPG populated as well as that one is. I haven't found anything missing yet.

Yeah, using that one now myself. Having trouble with 0.12 crashing for no apparent reason after 4 or 5 days use. Well strange. Only thing I downloaded was Armys Ghost HD skin. Have reflashed 4 times since it was released and it never generates a crash log. Just freezes as the boot up screen changes from booting to Starting Enigma 2 where the spinner kicks in. No spinner appears and box is locked up. Havent put Armys Ghost skin in this time and been running for 2 days now so fingers xxxxed. Though that skin is the default on 0.12 for 8000 so its probably not that thats causing it.

so are you saying that with this method you no longer have any gaps in your epg?

Yes very few gaps. Almost everything even fills the interactve channels with the correct games on champions league nights and football first on Saturdays.

Yep, I've just written my bouquets exactly as they are in a Sky box and I have no gaps at all. The extra stuff like Setanta ireland is filled too. It also populates sly italia calcio channels, but they're dark at the moment ofcourse.

I dont suppose you have a link to this ready made file? It would be handy for my AB IPbox 9000.

If you had a link, I could schedule the box to grab the file at specific intervals.

I'm going to be really cheeky now and ask if you wouldn't mind sharing your Sky UK bouquets. I have some made up, but they are far from complete.

I'll check in the nabilo EPG setup panel, I think I can see the path to the file in there.

I'll share my bouquets no problem mate but I'll make a new thread to keep it more relevant. I'll upload them later when I get home.

hey guys!

any 1 point me in the direction of what i need ot do to get some form of epg using enigma 2 as all i have is now and next on about 10-20 channels!

up to now never even really thought about it! but would like to have a go at sorting it!!!

or maybe just giving me something more to make me curse and swear at...
(instead of the gf lol)

Is the box Enigma 1 or enigma 2?
If E2 then you can download e2_loadepg (google it). Quite easy to configure, but it does fail occasionally then you have to run it through Blue Panel.
If you can install Nabilo Black Hole then it has builtin EPG.
I dont have a good solution for E1 - can anybody help?
