    I have tried what is suggested above. Also, the following:
    et the LO frequency for the corresponding lnb to 5150MHz

    You may need to tag the "INV" option if you try to do a manual transponder scan.

    My DM500S is a bit tricky to get going on C-band, perhaps since IF frequency is calculated inversely (LO is higher than received frequency).

    This next trick will ALWAYS work however since all sat receivers actually receive 950MHZ - 2150MHz, the rest is software and math to display and use actual frequencies:

    If circular polarisation is used you can translate like this:
    Vertical = Left hand circular polarisation (LHCP)
    Horizontal = Right hand circular polarisation (RHCP)

    Now translate the C-band frequency into a Ku-band frequency like this:
    5150 - Cband_MHz = IF_MHz
    IF_MHz + 9750 = Ku_lowband_MHz or IF_MHz + 10600 = Ku_highband_MHz

    Note that the higher the C-band frequency is, the lower the fake Ku-band frequency will be.

    A few examples for you to try out on Insat 83.0 deg East:

    Asianet mux 3643V
    5150-3643 = 1507
    1507 + 9750 = 11257
    use 11257MHz Vertical

    Kairali 3845V
    5150-3845 = 1305
    1305+9750 = 11055
    use 11055MHz Vertical

    For both above examples the receiver must be configured to have a Universal Ku-band LNB with 9750/10600MHz LO.

    Good luck

    Ize

    Edit: You can use any satellite you don't need in the satellite list as Insat 83E and scan manually. It will then serve as a placeholder for the channels you have actually scanned on 83E.

    I get some of the C band transponders on 68.5 but not all - I cannot get Geo and Multichoice but get B4U, Dawn, ARY .....

    Can anybody help?

    You seem to be receiving the horizontal channels and not the vertical. This probably means that you have a twin frequency LNB i.e. 5150 and 5750.
    For Geo broadcasting at 3799 do the following.
    3799-600=3199 where 600 is the difference between 5150 and 5750. Put the frequency 3199 all other parameters including symbol rate and FEC to be the same and tune the transponder manually.
    Should work ... keep us informed

    My System: 5 Dish Antenna's: Hotbird 1-5 AsiaSat 3S PanAmSat 7/10 Arabsat 2A Nilesat 101
    I recently bought Dreambox 7025 and trying to configure the dishes. I am not able to configure Intelsat 7/10 (C-Band) on my Dreambox 7025.

    Let me tell you my configuration in detail before:

    I have following dishes:

    1. Badr 26.0E (Universal LNB)
    2. Intelsat 7/10 68.5E (2 C-Band LNB: 1 for Horizontal & 1 for Vertical)
    3. Hotbird 13.0E (Universal LNB)
    4. Nilesat 101 7.0W (Universal-LNB)

    in following setup:
    Code:
    1.  Badr 26.0E (Universal LNB) -------------------------------------------------------------------> DiSEqC Input 1 +---------------+
                                                                                                                       |               |
    2a. Intelsat 7/10 68.5E (Horizontal C-Band LNB) ---> LNB Input 1 +-----------+                                     |               |
                                                                     | X Switch* | Compined Output ---> DiSEqC Input 2 |               |
    2b. Intelsat 7/10 68.5E (Vertical C-Band LNB) -----> LNB Input 2 +-----------+                                     | DiSEqC Switch | --> Output to Dreambox 7025
                                                                                                                       |               |
    3.  Hotbird 13.0E (Universal LNB) ----------------------------------------------------------------> DiSEqC Input 3 |               |
                                                                                                                       |               |
    4.  Nilesat 101 7.0W (Universal-LNB) -------------------------------------------------------------> DiSEqC Input 4 +---------------+

    * - X Switch is some switch used for combining Horizontal and Vertical LNB signals.

    The thing is, I have the remaining dishes setup in my DB7025 but only have problems with Intelsat 7/10.

    I have tried setting Intelsat 7/10 to C-Band in the LNB Settings and also tried User Defined and manually entering 5150 for Low and High. Moreover, I have tried the User Defined and entering 9750 Low and 10600 for High and conversion setting for following Frequency and in following calculation:

    From _http://www.satcodx3.com/0686/eng/
    HUM TV: 3.774 GHz Horizontal 3300 Symbol Rate

    5150 - 3774 = 1376
    1376 + 9750 = 11126

    Then entering the Fake HUM TV Frequency: 11.126 GHz Horizontal 3300 Symbol Rate, still does not pick any channel.

    All of the above mentioned methods do not work.

    However, if I connect my old receiver I am able to tune and watch channels for Intelsat 7/10. So, the X Switch in the diagram above does not have any problem.

    Let me know if I am missing something here or what else I can try.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hashaam

    last month i bought a Swedish made diseqc switch which costed me 120US$ but it was the only Switch that gave me strong signal for both H/V channels on all of my 4 Satellites Hotbird/Intelsat902/Nilesat/Badr . the Brand name oif the switch was something like Starsat i guess . so i think the quality of the DiseqC matters and effects DM alot .

    Hello!
    i dont know what dish size do you have and what the signal strenth of dd india is in your region, not every transmoponder has the same footprint,some are stronger nhk view asia on intelsat 7 mtv india transponder for e.g

    but the music transponder is much weaker,and dordarshan india,is one of the weakest,i have only signal in the night,on daytime its gone!

    maybe only multchoice transponder,are realy strong in africa,and others also weak i dont know,i can only report here from europe!
    try to readjust your dish,and checking,the scew angel,of the lnb,this is very importend,to get signal on the weakest transponder,and needs a lot of time to fine adjust,good luck!

    I have 180cm dish, using C band on 68.5E. Most channels including MultiChoice on Intelsat 7/10 have SNR of >80%. NHK is strongest at 87%.

    yes,nhk is very strong because the sending with fec 1/2

    if you take a look at the freqency list,you will see that most of the freqencys used both polarisation,with difrent simbolrates,this takes you a lot of the signal quality of the weaker channels,
    multichoice here very weak,i got all channels,but not much signal reserve
    the weakest is 3836 3863,and 37616 is much stronger then 3836,and 3744,is weaker with mtv and espn on it!
    i hope,that the satelite,soon will be replaced!
    last night,dordarshan india,was very strong picture with out interrption,todays ago it was complitly one or full of artecacts,if you want constant signal also on ujala tv you need here 3,60m mesh..!

    you have signal in your region on ujala tv?
    in spring this year works great with my 2,40 m mesh dish,and i watched often,there were many docementarys,from germany,from the 80`S that are very old,was in german lanuage syncroneized in enlish,very funy for me to watch,this channel is gone now,K2 tv,the indian music channel curencly with test transmision is also weaker here !
    hope that the new satelite when it comes,in around 2 years,dont not have,this kind of new cband spotbeams,that whould,mean,that we can say good by to the most of the channels,on this bird !

    for exact optimeizing your signal,please take a look on ww++.satlex.de

    type in your cordinates,

    then you see a digagramm,of the exact elevation,and also a diagramm,where show you the exact scew angel,you need,for your location!

    Hello!
    when you use kuband,and cband,over seperate cable,not ove one cable,with diseqec swtich,you must confiugre the kuband on lnb input 0 and cband for e.g. on input 1,then save this settings in the satelite configuration ,and all is okay,other wise,when you using the same inmput,you have always to change,the lof when you switch between c and kuband!

    national geophgrapic i think are channels,where only cable operator have the card!

    zoom tv from india _www.zoom.in is sometimes fta in the night,but not very often!
    i am still lokking for mtv inda cryptorks card,they sending now in iredeto 2 also like zoom tv,but i dont find any,when you know a source ,of mtv india smartcard please send mail,mtv india dot com website,also does not response

    I have tried Freq 5150 and i get no signal. On the Maxx1000 and the Humax it clears Multichoice using LNB Freq of 5750 SR of 20600 and freq of 3716 V.
    both boxes will not clear on LNB Freq of 5150.

    Have you got 5150 working ? if so can you be kind and post your setting here. thanks.
