    satelittes.xml and transponders

Hi all. I am using the gemini 4.60 image and i am wondering what do the rest of you guys do in terms of the sats.xml file and updating transponders?

The image i ionstalled only picks up some chans on 9e, knowwere near the total amount. missing all the redhot chans.

I can only assume this is to do with my transponders. do they come in a file that i can upload or are they in the satellite.xml file? if in the latter do you guys download this file from somewhere?

I have seen sites that have built in generators. have you used them? which do you recommend?

    thanks.

If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots
You can generate and download a satellite.xml from here satellites-xml.eu/

It's always a good idea to backup your current file just in case...

My System: DM8000HD+DM7000S with PLi image, CCcam, movable dish 0.85 m, very happy indeed
I usually download & install an up-to-date settings file (like henksat or captain picard), strip the xml file from it, reinstall my settings with the new xml, perform a full scan on all satellites, and verify any new channels found.
takes me about a week or 2 to complete (every evening).

Just scan in any new transponders yourself using manual scan.

I find it's quicker than any other method.

    To do a manual scan:

    menu > 6 > service searching > motor setup

    Click next then search

Then select Manual Scan on the next page.

Manually enter the frequency, symbol rate, polarity and FEC of the new transponder.

Click scan. You may need to enter PIDS.
