Ch-3 Arabic IBA TV (frequency 12220 MHz Horizontal) is also very good! They have quite a few American and English series. I watch American Idol everyday (2:00-3:00 p.m Cyprus time) and they also have nice documentaries in English from time to time. They also show a lot of British series in the evening. Good stuff!

I am going to install a dish and receiver for Hotbird in order to watch RAI and BBC World. I HOPE they are still FTA!

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.
Rai is still generally FTA (apart from when Rights Restricted stuff is being broadcast), but don't expect it to remain so in the long term - qv TivůSat.

I see no possibility at all of BBC World ceasing to be FTA.
