You can see a noticable clearer picture with HD football compared with the identical source in SD.
Whether it is worth it is the question.

Thank you for your reply, thank goodness I am not the only one to notice how wonderful hd television could be, but isn't. I have emailed Panasonic on the problem and will be interesting to read their comments. We appear to be so out of touch with hd in this country, and wonder why, unless its all geared for Rupert Murdochs services.
I cannot see the difference either. Thought it was just my eyes
As far as i know, the only h/d channel you can see on the panasonic freesat tv is itv 1, and that only transmits on the odd occasion, and you have to be on the itv 1 channel, and press the red button.
Plus Ѕky HD with a valid card in a Dragon cam.
Thanks guys for putting me right, i will check it out.
I have already ansered your question in my earlier post. There is a clear difference between HD & SD.
This was checked as recently as last Sunday (5 July 2009) with the Tour de France cycling in HD from Ned1. But also throughout the 2008/09 EPL season the HD pictures were noticeably better than the same SD transmission.
