Hello
maye 1,5 years ago i heard reports that there was a data channel on this satelite with relativly strong signal strenth!
canot confirm, this satelite from my location is behind a 2500 meter high mauntain!
Turok even if you wouldn't have mountains towards this direction you wouldn't receive anything. The satellite is far below your horizon. You'd have to move more than 500km to the East so that 93.5E appear, this means western Hungary. paul682 is less East than Hungary but the more South you move the bigger the viewable part of the Clarkebelt gets and of course the elevation values.

but it's strange
in which longitude
you are turok????
AUSTRIA is more east of my position
probably at your location
with a big dish
u can receive something with
the phenomen of atmospheric refraction!!!!
arent u?????? ARE U AGREE????
He is too far west at 10° East. This means 93.5E is 4.3° below the horizon there. I don't see any chances for such an extreme reception.

How is it going paul682 ?
About DX Bozóth i have found something very interesting:
http://www.netboard.hu/viewtopic.php?topic=3542&x_p=4
Seems to be his dish and himself.
He must also have received 95E India Ku Beam and 96.5E C-Band: http://www.lyngsat.com/nss6.html
http://www.lyngsat.com/eam33.html
He cannot be in the city of Budapest but more to the East because 96.5E would be below he horizon. Further on he is not far away from Roman Dávid in Lučenec , Slovak Republic who uses a 3.70m Prodelin like you do: http://web.dxsatcs.66.sk/php66/index.php?str=7&spr=26
Must be a great place for DXing there.

Thanks a lot skystar.
0.3° elevation for 55.5W from there and he gets it, wow. I wonder if he also has signal fluctuations. I think not few people would be interested in more details of his reception possibilities but since this thread is paul682's i really don't want to go further. Any chance to see some reports from him or get in contact ?

HI DEEP
sorry for the late replies
i well known mr. ROMAN DAVID from SLOVAKIA and his
amazing website
i wasn't there on my dish
because in central italy we had for more than 12 days
highest temperature
so it's very difficult to stay there ....to search and wait
under 32 degrees
i was to the beach .................is better!!!!
MORE FRESH!
skystar is probably BOZOTH best friend iknow
the only problem
for BOZOTH
and he have difficult to contact in ENGLISH
so we must wait if skystar
try to convince our friend
to talk with us in english
for now
bye to all in the forum
Ah that's a problem indeed if he cannot speak well English but there are many many others that don't either. Unfortunately i don't speak a word hungarian nor russian which he might understand better. I know that some Hungarians write a lot in russian boards.
The next point we must be aware of is that in some places you cannot get internet flatrates yet and it's too hard to get in contact with such people. I am sure in Hungary this problem does not exist in towns.
The heat is a major problem not only for DXing but for all kind of work. I know what you mean since having spent lots of hot summers in Greece. Dry heat is no problem at all. 48C in Larisa (the next beach is 40km away) with 10% rel. humidity are more pleasant than rainy tropical 30C without any wind. In Southern Corfu we have very hot days and if not windy dense fog in the morning time in cypress and olive woods. And at night time mosquitos that don't let you sleep at least 3 hours. The solution is - as you said - spending day and night if possible in the sea. "Lazyness" in southern countries is not only a lifestyle but a must if you wanna survive. And aircondition is not always a solution for those who don't know. The quick and often changes of cool/dry (inside) and hot/humid (outside) can make you sick even if the filters are beeing cleaned regularly. But working without is almost impossible. Here in Southern Germany aircondition was almost unknown 20 years ago but after some longlasting hot summers they are getting more and more but not in flats. At least you have the sea there and much more wind. This is the best aircondition.
P.S.: Right now we only have 26C/40% rel.hum. but it feels worse than 35C besides a windy beach. I think should take the plane and dive into the icy deep waters of the Ionian Sea.![]()

Dear Friends,
I am Hungarian origin. I moved to Italy from Hungary when I was 28.
I do not know Bozoth personally, but I know that he lives in
Puspokladany (near Debrecen, and very close to the Romanian border, Nagyvarad (Oradea)). He is the best Hungarian DX-er.
Coviello
hi
coviello
what about the new amos 3
have u notice about an increased signal level on MIDDLE EAST BEAM?????
when u try to install a C BAND lnb on your dish??????
ciao
see u soon here!
PAOLO
So far four transponders from Amos1 (Middle East beam) have moved to Amos3. The signal is better compared with Amos2 (Middle East beam), see below (the threshold is 5.5 dB).
To get the best signal from Amos3 I have to move the dish a little from West to Est
Amos3:
10972 V 8.0 dB
11108 V 9.0 dB
11474 V 8.2 dB
11558 V 7.8 dB
Amos2
10722 V 6.4 dB
10806 V 6.3 dB
10840 V 6.0 dB
10925 V 7.0 dB
Curious observation:
10986 H is only watchable after 9 pm until 10 am.
Last year I played with C band. The weakest signal was from ******,
Coviello (Basilicata, Potenza Italy)
solly (02-07-2008)
Thanks very much Coviello.
Do you also receive 11593V and 11677V ?
