My System: Sony KLV26HG2 LCD TV, Humax HD-CI 2000 on a Fixed Sky/Astra/Hotbird. Cerebro Card. Infinity USB Phonix. Dragon Cam v4.1 w/Firecrypt & Loader Card.

    Connecting it UP.

    Connecting it all up.

    I have the following equipment
    Television with 2 scarts AV1 AV2
    Video with 2 scarts AV1 (in/out) AV2 (in)
Skydigibox with 2 scarts labeled as VCR and TV
Nokia digibox 9800s (bought today!! with 2 scarts labeled as AUX and TV

Please cam you give advice on how to connect all this together with scart cables.
I am very confused on which scart end goes where. I would like to able able to record any of the devices.
I would want to watch the device I switch on through the AV channels on my tv. If not possible I don't mind have VCR as RHF connection.

Please give me a easy to understand guide on how to connect this lot.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Shahid

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

    OK Shahid, this should work.

VCR scart 1 in/out to digibox VCR socket
    DigiboxTV socket to TV AV1

VCR AV2 in only to Nokia AUX
Nokia TV to AV2 on TV.

You may have to reverse the two TV connections if you have problems.

So I take you have based it with no RHF for the video needed. As there is no direct scart from video to tv AV1 or AV2 .

So does the signal for the video being played go through the skydigibox as it will be on standby?

Will this setup let be record from the whatever digital box ( Sky/NOKIA) is on?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-Sep-01 AT 09:45 PM (GMT)]That's correct Shahid, the digibox should allow play through by the video even when it is in standby.

The only further consideration is then the terrestrial aerial lead and that shoul run through the video to the TV, there is no need to pass it through either digital receiver.

To record from either receiver you will have to set the video to either AV1 or AV2 by using the channel down button.
