    Very Funny

    Gaelic I presume

"Go raibh míle maith agat" -> "may you have a thousand good things" or "A thousand thankyous"

Or better translated -> "Thanks a million"

Go raibh míle maith agat - - Thank you very much.
The literal translation of this most common phrase is interesting and little known.

Its actually used as just plain "Thank you very much", but the literal translation is really a wishing of good will.

"Go raibh maith agat" = "May you have good fortune" (or similar, there is really no direct translation).

Agreed...was just used as 'Many Thanks' or 'Thank you very much' when I was going to school.

Just wanted to add a bit off Gaelic to the International community on here
