let me introduce myself. i am a member of this site though i have never replied to any questions because alot of brillient members out there have all the answers. cheers keep it up comrades. i live in zambia in a town called "Ndola" a mining town. i started experimenting with decoders about 2 years ago and its fun. sorry Amin-h i dont have answers to your question about sr-x3100 cu super at the moment but will let u know as soon as i have the answers. i have 30 off them machines and i am stuck with them. any meembers please help us.

Look at **w.satdw.com/. Dont know about 3100 but I have 3500 and in this receiver with new soft is in installation menu point imput code and you can do it manually to.

Try w**.croteam-sat.org. They have s/w for all starsat receivers and are relayble.

the website www.amgcom.cn , go to the downcentre,there is the latest S/W for starsat 3100

starsat 3100 (all models) softwares available in www.satdw.com. You download the latest available version and unzip it into a folder . Then connect the PC and receiver using a 9 pin null modem cable (cable connection details are also available from the same website). Then double click the red icon(upload tool) from the unzipped folder and click start. then a message will appear "waiting boob" ; given ok for this message. now the software is starting uploading. you can see the progress in percentage from the tool. Once it will reaches to 100% another message box will appear upload "success ful". Do not switch off the receiver during the time of uploading.

give a back up before uploading the new software and give restore systems after completion .this will help u to avoid the search again.

This can be done like this.
Before upgradation
System setup ---backup systems---given ok

After Upgradation
System setup---Restore systems -- given ok

Now a days there is no need to put the keys manually. Because while upgrading the software all keys are automatically getting updated.
but for information if u need to put keys manually follow the steps
Installation---Input code--given ok--then select the appropriate encryption(SECA/NAGRA/IRDETO/VIACESS/CONAX/BISS/CRYPTOWORKS)--then given ok--then put the codes.

These are very good machines they open everything that is available on any cam and autoupdate ok. i wish i had 30 of them i could sell them all here in greece.

Do yoy know if DOT DOM CX Digital 7000 ( rather unknown) receiver is the same as Starsat srx3100?

I have just updated the software on my starsat sr-x3100 ultra and now it gives an error message on ther box and turns itself off after about 10 seconds. I used the software version 20051123_silver_SR-X3100CU_ULTRA_V310 downloaded from w**.satdw.com/.
Can anyone please help.

Reload the previous software V303 and see what happens.
