    all/multi cam patch?

Can anyone point me in the right direction for info on patching receivers with these "they're just like a embedded magic cam" patches.
Whats an embedded chip? I know it's a chip inside the receiver, but is it a separate chip? and would the main chip of the receiver process all/multi cam software? I know I seem to be asking the obvious, but I'm getting so much conflicting info.
I have a technomate ci receiver, and there's apparantly a patch for this but I can't get it to work.

I just discovered it by accident today about patching the technomate recievers, I have a 5500CI Plus which I did today, works perfectly. I got the patch from dudez:
    http://www.satdudez-forumz.com/forum...0&daysprune=30

I'm using version 3, basically once the update is installed, go to the system information page in the menu, it'll be blank, press red, type in 2004. and voila a CAS menu. You can now decode ViaAccess/Nagra/Conax with no CAM, the guy who programmed it, is clearly a genius!

Also another thing worth noting is that the receiver is about twice if not three times quicker, it turns on instantly now, none of that starting up rubbish with the spash screen, the CAS decoding is instant, much faster than my old ZetaCam, on the channel, and its working instantly with no delay.

    HI

Please would you hint where I can get this patch or Joe Fileds patch ? I have TM5500CI and Joker Cam - sometimes the Joker doesn't do what I want. Cheers

Unfortunately I dont think that the joefields patch is available at the moment since it was hosted on satdudez, which is now closed after the recent scare. You could try toecutters den in the technomate section, but I had a quick look and couldnt find the patch that I am using on there.
