This thread is for you to help other folks obtain new software for their receivers, with all the info in one place instead of it being scattered across numerous threads. Please post details of where you can download software for unlisted receivers.

Post away. Help us make this the definitive thread for helping others get that hard to find s/w. Im going to ask the other mods to edit the thread hard to keep the info tidy and the thread on topic.

As Im not going to check all these links every week, some of them will no longer be active. If you find a dead link let me know, and I'll remove it.

Has anyone used the latest patch(or any patch for that matter, I am a newbie) for Strong 4620? What does the patch do? I want to view some programme that are scrambled in irdeto 1. Do I download the patch and load it into the receiver and somehow there is a place for me to put in a 'key' then I can view scrambled programmes?

Hello! I also have the same above question! Yea! What IS a Patch? doesit mean -pie rated- TV, Just as in -pie rated- Software? (like we can view encrypted TV?) [wink] Please let me know. And anather query what is a Matrix? and what are Matrix patches? Can Somebody Clear it to me?

A patch is normally modified software for your receiver that contains the keys for some pay tv providers embedded into it.

hsenet - your profile puts you in India. You CANNOT get DISH India like this as the keys are not public.

Matrix is a cam - same idea but the software is loaded onto the electronics in the cam rather than into the receiver.
