Could be your PC as SS2s are hungry beasties.
What spec is it ??
L.
p4 3.2ghz 1gb ram 256 nvida graphics win xp

That should be plenty fast enough.
Which viewer are you using and which drivers ?
L.
prog dvd TechnisatDrivers4.3.0 it dont do it on all channels but on a few like video-n - dmand and mtv and tps foot the pcture flickers for couple seconds every now and then never done it on my reciver box

Tricky one that.
You could try the 2.17g drivers from Technotrend.de.
Used to get the same effect with the SS1 when it lived with an AMD K6 3 400 many moons ago.
L.
no that never worked is ther a way to turn timshifter of as they maybe causing it

Having an SS1, I can't 'try out for real' your problem but I didn't think the SS2
supported timeshift ?.

Try setting the buffer and cache sizes to 0
L.
dont let you do that says buffer must be > 2mb

So still the same with min buffer size and all other programs (outlook. IE6, all other stuff ) closed down then. Not even a small difference ?

When we are using progdvb to watch fta channels there shoudn't be any problem. we may face problems when we want to view scrambled channels (with yankse etc).
Use dvbviewer software supplied with ss2 or u may use dvbdream to find out
the problem. Usually problem persist with software installations . uninstalling and reinsatlling the software and drivers may rectify ur problem.
