Sat Signal Works In Winter ..... Not in summer

Now thats odd ........ Certain channels on my Digibox are a tad dicky in summer.... CNN being one of em.... Perhaps QVC too but thats no great loss

Anyways is there a technical reason why this could be ? ....... I've asked about it before & people have said, whooooo Dish alignment ..... They may well be right ....... But the system has been like this for a couple of years now ..... TV isn't a huge thing for me ..... But for CNN to go all blockky in summer & fine & dandy in winter is just weired ..... What says you mob ?

Temperature changes can affect the noise figure of an LNB. This shouldn't make a lot of difference with high signal strength satellites such as Astra 28E, I would check your LNB by substitution.

It could also be that the dish is slightly out of alignment and the lower noise figure in winter just brings the reception level up to just about adequate.

Do you lose any channels when it rains? This would indicate a low signal strength for one reason or another.

I don't loose channels when it rains ........ but my signal strength does take a serious beating...... Looks like I'm off up the ladders again...... (Just replaced my TV ant)
