Not really sure why anyone would make a copy, as they are so cheap, does it not perform well?

My System: Sigh-only Sky for now-Im back in the UK.......
Even genuine ones have some differences-,for instance some have rubber backs, others have hard plastic backs.I would say that both of yours are genuine-as other posters have suggested,it wouldnt be worth while copying them.

I had lots of these on my hands and i can definitly say that there are originals and fakes . As a general rule rubber back are originals and plastic fakes but there might be exceptions ( not found one yet ) . Fakes are usualy of low quality , like if droped they crack , commands don't respond , batterys drain quicker etc and on originals i have not found any of these complaints .

Both of these remotes are real! Please do not think any different the remotes have changed covers at the back because the rubber ones were difficult to take off especially with Sky plus remotes. They adapted this from the HD remote which has the easiest back to deal with. These remotes are so complex to build it would be so difficult to re-create them especially with every TV code having to be built into them. They also have adapted the little message at the back which makes people doubt them but I can assure you these are real

When remotes start to command slower it normally means that they need to be re-tuned and don't you think they want the remotes to crack easier!!!

Apart from the fact that this thread is two years old. There are definitely fake Sky remotes being sold on Ebay , my neighbour bought one the other month, the case was wrong, it didn't work with standard Sky TV codes (it came with its own little code book) and was very poor quality.

There are some types on the market that require programming in to the Sky box, my m8 bought 2 for a tenner and niether of them were programmable so he binned them.
