I bought a Sky+ box and satellite and had everything installed and set up for me. Due to time constraints and missing wall clips etc, the installler set up the dish, aligned it and tested the signal with one cable. The idea was that I could do the rest myself.
However, I have now found that the box is not picking up the second signal so I can currently only record shows that I'm watching.
I thought maybe there was a break in the second cable feed but when I switch them over I dont receive any signals at all. Not sure if the box works by needing a main signal in a specific hole before a secondary signal is picked up?
I am also using some type of flat connectors which allows me to connect the cables to the dish outside through the gaps in my windows rather than drilling holes. I thought maybe one of them was faulty but I guess the above would disprove that.
What I'm wondering is that maybe the twin/dual lnb (I believe they are the same) that I have needs to have both feeds configured separately either on the lnb itself or the receiver.
Would rather have an idea of what is wrong and if I can fix it before paying someone to come out again.
Anyone have any idea of possible solutions?
Cheers
