Sagem PVR6280T Freeview Receiver Re-tune problems

Having been sliced and diced overnight for Winter Hill, I seem to have a problem with my Sagem freeview PVR, no BBC at all. I have re-scanned but still no BBC. I know it is still there as on my Wharfdale in the other room I can view them so I am unclear at this moment in time what is causing this loss. After scanning, the EPG begins at No 3

Maybe you should take at look in the digital spy forums - terrestrial -pvrs, where theres is a Sagem section. There is a short thread on exactly your problem.

    Ok now

Well after much reading I decided to take the plunge and do a factory reset, by entering menu / receiver settings / 4th option down factory reset. It did not at first look promising and took quite a long time, I can only assume it was downloading new software OTA, it then went through initialisation procedures again, language and then country etc and hey presto all channels available including the elusive BBC1 and BBC 1 a result

My System: Mostly gathering dust cos there's no room for dishes here... :(

The Sleepy Hollow pollracle has spoken!
I wish my two Oggle boxes were the same, still mixed up channels, BBC channels up in the 800s, and I've got to replace the aerial with a regular one, the high gain one is not necessary...

Still, I now have a number to call Sony about the effed up TV, and hopefully get it fixed so I can use my 2nd oggle box elsewhere...

You might find it easier to insert an attenuator.

Don't know what sort to use, so easier just to get a cheap standard aerial from Wilkos and replace the one that's up there in the attic (aswell as securing the poorly-fitted mount that lacks a clamp at the base!!!) and sell that to someone in a weak signal area...

Digital Spy Forums - understood! I only ever bother with the Freeview PVR section. I have a cheapo Digifusion PVR and I have found that section of the forum very useful at times.

Apparently you can get your software updated by sending your Sagem PVR 62** to their offices in Chertsey, Surrey. I am about to do that. This is as a result of getting an answer from Sagem as follows:-

"Following the impact of the national retune on Wednesday 31/09/2009, Sagem
have decided to offer an additional software update for their old PVR62xx
    range in the UK.
However, since Sagem have to cover the costs for the implementation of an
unscheduled update, customers will be charged Ł23 for their update which
will be performed in our head office in Chertsey / Surrey.

Please complete this form and return it to _service.uk@sagemcom.com"

    Hope this helps.

    Mike
