I am now the proud owner of this dish:-bighappy, its brand new and never been installed, its going to be a slow project as I don't have the funds to install it atm, but I can start putting things in place bit by bit,

It looks like I am missing something from the feed horn what do I need please, ive never fitted a feed horn before.

Yes the quad invacom c120 is recommended or try a black ultra lnbf to c120 conversion.

Hope your wife doesn't say its too big and tell you to take it down lol.

Are you going to use it as fixed dish for the footy on 5e or 7west ?

Brilliant Martin! I am very much looking forward to your progress. More so than I am with my Gibby 1.5m... Mainly because the wife-to-be hasn't yet noticed it in the garage!

Thank you lads, ive got to go and pick the arms up for the lnb tomorrow he could not find them at the time, I am hoping the rest of the lnb is there,

Motorised is a must for me, but he does have a ground stand if its cheap I might just have a play on single sats until I can afford the motorised mount.

All you're missing is the LNB for the feedhorn.

Nice to see a new CM LNB cover, I have one somewhere but wont work with a new C120 LNB without modification.

Lovely dish I am glad it's yours.

If there is an LNB there it maybe not be a universal.

I have just been out in the shed and got the part number, will the offset on this be the same as my 1.2 please, I guess I will have to be doing lots of reading while I am saving, I managed to get it all for £225 I could not turn it down.

Martin, congratulations!
If you have enough time before installing this treasure, carefully measure all possible dimensions and calculate focal point, just to make sure LNB is located where it should be. However, made in USA quality should be insurance that everything is perfect and there is no need for additional tuning.

I remember when I was quite young in the 90s a friends Dad offered me an old 1.5m dish for about £20 delivered and of course I couldn't refuse. My parents weren't so impressed when it turned up. ;)

I still have a 35cm BSB Channel Master dish that I bought for £5 new after BSB merged with Sky. I use now for 5E in Finland and main reason why I still have use it is because it's a Channel Master dish...

Maybe I should install ex-BSB dish for Sky? :) Though, the Sky dishes are Channel Masters anyway...

With the new Astra satellites and the imminent demise of 28A it would probably work pretty well with a decent LNB in the UK... I would give it a go if I find one on eBay for a decent price.

My neighbours are fine CJ, and tbh when fitted there will be only 2 houses that can see it from there downstairs window and one is me,

The neighbour who can see it from his downstairs window is polish and a nice guy his words was its beautiful:) , I am going to paint the back green and pay someone to put a tree on the front of it, something like this below, I also need to build a fence with a gate so its not seen from the road.

this is a satellite forum not a gardening one;),
Then tell us little bit more about your antenna: material, place and way how you going to fix it, exact dimensions, weight, nuts&bolts condition, etc.???

You are missing the clamp that secures the feed to the feedarms, but since you are still to collect them, it may in in that packet.

Everything is brand new rima, all nuts and bolts dish mount lnb, the mount outer diameter is 5inch,
To get the best from her she has to go more/less were the 1.2 is but it will have to go just off the ground, 1.2 will have to move home maybe at high level on my house.

I need to read up on what amount of concrete is needed I think it will be the cheapest option looking at the price of the ground stands, I have found an installation pdf file for a concrete pole install for the 1.8,

My main concern is clearing the fence when dish is pointing at about 50E and further E. but I am hoping my neighbour will let me make a fence panel on hinges so I can drop it down when dxing if it is a problem,we do get on well and I think he will be ok with it.
