10e 10994 V -Al Forat not available

I use the above channel Al Forat on 10 E 10994 V 4000 to test 4.2.2. feeds but I can’t seem to tune it today. It’s been quite a strong signal up to now. Could anyone check to see if it’s still broadcasting on that transponder. Thanks.

Checked the dish and made a few adjustments after very heavy winds. The transponder is now showing signal again. Looks like it will be a few weeks of dish adjustment if the current forecast is anything to go by.

Here is my signal from Rome (1mt dish, LNB BU). It transmits with a strange format 1920*540, but HEVC 4:2:2.

Nice to see results from different areas of Europe. After adjustment my signal quality is back up to 74%. Hope the winds are not as extreme at the moment in Rome as they are on the east coast of Ireland

Yes you receive sound but the video is not viewable on your receiver. If you’re interested just record a segment of that channel and you can play it back on VLC player.

Yes, I know. I tried it. I have an Edision OsMio+ 4K plus that has HEVC codec inside, but it's not 4:2:2. I can get the signal but no video of course. And then I have as well an Azbox Hd Premium Plus that is not HEVC compliant but it's 4:2:2. So.....hehehe....nothing to do. Al Forat HD is watchable at the moment only by VLC and PotPlayer.

Depending on what the spec of computer you have. The video resolution of the 4.2.2 on VLC requires the correct codecs be installed too. If you have a quality graphics card installed on the PC with a good GPU you’ll see very stable video. The software video resolution option places a heavy load on the CPU so if hardware acceleration is an option use it. The Combo uses the software resolution option with its particular player installed.

Oops, I forgot...hehe....I have as well a TBS 5925. Fantastic box. Maybe soon a new one....TBS 6983X.
