Yay! Was surprised you weren't getting 7.3w, as I has this on a Penta. You can also get Nilesat 102 on that but best try in the evenings even it's the strongest.

It's pitch black outside now.

But considering I "aligned" by throwing it up on first stab guesswork, I was surprised at the results already!

A degree of Elevation should sort it - I had to adjust the dish bracket a fair way owing to the change from the original 36v motor/mount to a simple one. But it really was a ballpark job.

Very pleased the electric string stretches far enough, too.

The main advantage will be the recovery of a significant part of my Herb Patch which currently has a TD110 parked in the middle of it!

And I can go back to maintaining one single Channel List for both my Skybox F3s.

Well, as promised, here are a couple of pics of the thrown-up dish.

It can be clearly seen that skew is miles off, which ain't exactly going to help with weak birds and the cabling needs tidying up.

When I fitted the IBU, I was standing on the boiler house roof between the dish face and the LNB clamp, and it looked to be bang on zero deg. skew from there.

But I had forgotten that the IBU has an irregular casing shape.

Still, a quick job to sort that when I get some time later.

Got 39E to 45W: Still tree problems East of 39E and I haven't yet ventured to 58W.

Sadly, it's started drizzling since I took the last couple of pics, so tweaking will have to wait.

The main thing is the thing is up without me having drawn the neighbours attention to it: And I have to go down onto their land soon to feed the chickens - Which means I can see the dish from their perspective and gauge whether they are ever likely to notice it!

If you're that friendly with their chickens, surely they wouldn't mind a slightly bigger dish up if they do notice it?

How trimable is the tree?

Nowt so queer as folk, CJ.

Tree is not trimmable at all, but you never know when it might die .................. !!

Arc has always been a compromise here, which is why I've had so many dishes in various places.

But now I'm better acquainted with what actually interests me (And SWMBO), this latest incarnation is a decent solution that will allow me to massively simplify my overall system.

I know what you mean... I need two dishes myself to get the full arc. Though, I am lucky that I can get pretty much to the horizons at both ends.

Are you in need of any firewood this winter?

Lol!

Sadly, I no longer use an open fire.

Missing 42E isn't an issue as I've never, ever had it anyway.

But I did have 53E, so will have a look at the extreme end of what should be visible if there were no trees.

Can you see beyond the tree? 62e has a very strong TP there at the moment and a few on 68.5e

Thanks for the tips >>> Just got back from Bell-Ringing and haven't not sure when I'll be able to play Satellites.

That said, it'll only take me two mins to get up and correct the skew.

I'll do that now.

Done. Left it a tight sliding/rotational fit in case I need to shift it back and forth later.

Almost finished playing for now.

Getting good results on BADR 4.

The rest of today's playtime is going to be dismantling the TD110 system.

Very windy.

When I finished dismantling the old gear and tidying up, I found BADR had gone!

I suspect the elevation adjustment is half a deg out as the result of me having the audacity to tighten the clamps up a bit more (Which no doubt threw them out).

Anyway, I know what is possible, so that's a job for another time.

The garden looks bigger without the TD110 and my Kitchen Garden is positively barren!
