singal very week on 85cm
maybe need 1.5m to get same tp lock signal

That is my problem, I live in an apartment and can only physically fit an 85cm dish. If I could get a bigger one I would. I have a spare 1.25m Gibertini dish in the basement at my parents house but I can't use it. Talk about frustrating... I know this works pretty well for most Astra 2E but not for 2F.

I will post a graph from my parents 1.8m dish later tonight for comparison.

Sadly the 1.8m is not at my home but at my parents house about 5km away. I do still have my own TV and receivers in my old room though but it's not quite the same.

If you have a good internet connection you can use a slingbox and a slingcatcher. The latest is no longer manufactured but you can still buy it on eBay.
This as been a good solution for me. My parents live 500km away in the north of the country and they can receive 2E and 2F spot beam easily.

My parents house is in one of the few parts of Helsinki that has no cable TV and only ADSL with 0.8Mbps upload. 4G might be a possibility but not sure on the usage restrictions and it's still a bit pricey. I have thought about trying to set up my own 2.4 or 5GHz link but there is one hill between us which might just block the signal. Anyway, if BT Openreach get their act together I'm hoping to get FTTC in the UK next year so I can use my Slingbox properly there and set up my own private VPN too.

But it's just not as fun as getting the satellite signal direct.

I remember some tests with the antenna of 85cm behind the glass door.
With 0'8Mbps upload it shortly.
With the mobile 4G here (Spain) have limited traffic and you'll quickly Mb eat these connections.

Recuerdo unas pruebas con la antena de 85cm detras de la puerta de cristal.
Con 0'8Mbps upload es poco.
Con el movil 4G aqui (España) tienen limite de trafico y se come los Mb que da gusto estas conexiones.

As promised, here's the chart for the 1.8m dish in Helsinki. The dish is optimised for 28.2E but top band of 2F is still a pain. No doubt I could get a better signal from 2E if I moved the dish to 28.3E but would probably lose 2F as it's so much weaker. Will have to see what happens once 2A goes and then decide on the final position for the dish.

My parents only have ADSL.
I get a steady steaming speed of about 750kbps. It's enough for SD quality.

Everything is a matter of taste and quality is maintained.
With 400kbps upstream, on the PC, I remember a very small window (7cm).
With 10Mbps upload, no problem.

Todo es cuestion de probar y que calidad se mantiene.
Con 400kbps de subida, en el PC, recuerdo una ventana muy pequeña (7cm).
Con 10Mbps de subida, sin problemas.

We have 0.8Mbps upload in the UK and it's OK but not great, but it means using only one slingbox at a time really and hoping no one else is trying upload much. Still waiting for fibre to be enabled at our cabinet.

I remember doing a slingbox test from Scotland to Brighton - on 300 kbps upload

It wasnt a great success to say the least :-rofl2 It saturated our internet connection so it was impossible to use it for anything else :D

I modified little bit 6GHz 3M radiolink antenna.
Seems better than Peeter3000-s 3M antenna because I can receive Astra2E UK beam occasionally.

Is it only a winter hat? :)
Because it will reflect earth noise into the LNB, deteriorating reception (at least theoretically).
