Not noticed anything different at all recently but then my dish is a bit of an overkill at the moment so perhaps I would not notice anything anyway. All 2F channels seem to be fine.
Very minor increase in SNR compare to my spreadsheet from December 2012.

But... the really big difference is a sizable increase in SNR of 1N transponders recently compared to 12/2012.

BTW, I wasn't talking about dust in the atmosphere. What I meant is if the satellite has passed through some dust it is possible the reflector has been scoured a bit.

Well...something has changed.....about 30% Q increase of daytime signal (Humax).... (sorry guys I don't have any special signal measuring gadgets).... Just " say what I see"...kind of reports ....

I presume you mean the 1N UK spot TP's rather than PE ones - ex Astra 2B

Yes. I made the spreadsheet in expectation of band C and band D migration, and as we subsequently found out only band C transponders migrated.

I think keeping accurate records is more important than the equipment you are using. The idea is to show the trend over time, and relying on memory for SNR of 100 individual transponders one year later is never going to be accurate. But having nice gear that measures accurately to the nearest tenth of a dB is definitely a bonus if you want to keep track of minor changes.

My Satellite Setup
Some SAT-related hardware.
My Location
N-E from Riga
Friend of mine made script for enigma2, by running it receiver scans all frequencies on one or several birds. After process is done all the date could be found in one file. Than you can store data in excell/access format for future analyses.
Data looks like I've scanned 28,2*E last week.

If the script is for enigma2 public, it can happen.?
Si el script para enigma2 es publico, lo puedes pasar.??

Now every 7/15 days to review hand levels by recording them, could use the program you mention.
Ahora cada 7/15 días repaso niveles a mano dejando constancia de ellos, vendría bien el programa que comentas.

DB800S-HD, LNB Inverto Black Ultra 0'2dB, Antenna de 94cm (98x90cm = 0'692m²).
Levels in Madrid north zone today/Niveles en Madrid zona norte hoy 23-1-2014 19:00.

Same here. 16.7db, much higher than the 2A transponders. 2F PE now on 1N level.

Yea....but does anyone know why ?......something must have changed...repositioning does sound to me.... to a reasonable explanation......as 2E is soon moving into position ......!......(if the high lasts that is )

Just a thought, if they crank up the power of 1N and 2F they can make people believe the 2E beam is a lot tighter than it really is.

But it's not a conspiracy theory. Conspiracy theories require people to conspire.

bema, I looked at your graphs for today and it seems like you had nearly no signal on a couple of transponders around noon. The BBC transponder (11023H) suddenly seems to have been blacked out, while Channel 4 (11126V) faded out. What would cause such a black out like the one you had on 11023H?
