This may be similar to "uktveverywhere" and seems much cheaper.

Last month I bought an HDMI smart TV from Maplins @ £79.99, its really just a miniature android tablet without the screen, comes with a mini keyboard.

While in the UK, I loaded it with Filmon to make sure it got the correct region, together with YouTube and the usual android stuff.

I was delighted when I connected it to the TV in GC, as it streams ALL the UK freeview channels free in SD, HD is available for a subscription.

If he has reasonable internet, this idea could help solve milestone 11's reception of F1 from BBC1.

Regards

With thanks to Trigger for information in another thread.
12642V gets me the following,
Reality TV
BT Sport 2
Discount TV
Studio 66 TV4
54380
54381
MATV National
History 2
Armchair shop
Studio 66 TV3
Sony TV+1
Studio 66 TV2
The Style Network
Most appear to be rubbish but, 54380 and 54381 are live Wimbledon tennis on BBC red button facility. The Olympic channels lasted the duration so hopefully these will last until next weekend.

Some changes this morning, though a nett loss overall.
Gained,
Alibi HD,
Dave HD,
Sky Arts 1 SD
Alibi SD and Dave SD have been and still are available since the big change earlier this year.
Lost,
Pick TV+1,
Good Food HD,
Sky Arts 2 HD,
Sky Arts 1 & 2 HD have been available with no SD versions. This morning 2HD has gone but 1SD has become available so no Sky Arts 2 available at all. It just gets worse by the week.
With the added problem of recent events and the consequent delay of 2E launch, our likelyhood of resuming normal service before the end of the year seems more remote than ever.
It has been my intention to wait until 2E launch and commission until deciding whether to continue with the subscription but the way things are going, there seems little point.

The addition of the F1 channel will make me a relatively happy man. Come on Sky, you know you can do it.

Works until about 6pm, then no signal (all of the channels)
No idea if 11527 or 11585 should be able to be got here or not.

It appears that the frequencies Intelsat have NOT lost to SES are all on the E28A Super beam (TPs C1 to C6 - easily receivable in the Canaries). As the steerable beam was very rarely receivable here and then only with a huge dish this is good news. At least some of the channels from the steerable beam should hopefully end up on 2F pan-European.

There's nothing so far to say that beam will be available there.

I have now checked on my "known good" 90 cm system here in Gran Canarian (DRX890, Inverto Black Ultra via multiswitch) and I am receiving all the 2F PE TP's this morning with no sign of breakup. The frequencies I have checked are ...
12.515GHz/H SR 22.0 FEC 5/6
12.522GHz/V SR 22.0 FEC 5/6
12.545GHz/H SR 22.0 FEC 5/6
12.552GHz/V SR 22.0 FEC 5/6
12.581GHz/V SR 22.0 FEC 5/6
12.604GHz/H SR 22.0 FEC 5/6
12.611GHz/V SR 22.0 FEC 5/6
12.633GHz/H SR 22.0 FEC 5/6
12.640GHz/V SR 22.0 FEC 5/6
12.663GHz/H SR 22.0 FEC 5/6
12.670GHz/V SR 22.0 FEC 5/6

Are those really 2F Blue Platinum? I just had a look at all those frequencies and found hundreds of channels. Most are junk though, one that I have sorely missed was Motors TV, which we haven't had since last January. I saved that, thinking I was quite pleased with myself, only to discover a couple of minutes later that it's back on the EPG.
Every week or two, I laboriously go through the whole EPG specifically to establish any changes, the last time I did this, there was no Motors TV so I don't have a clue when it came back.

I have previously been led to believe that both Sky Sport F1 and Sky Sports F1HD were on 2F, there is no sign of their return. I just don't understand this Motors thing. Anyone have any ideas?

Ah thanks Analoguesat. Has the signal strength been upped or something, if so what's happened to both F1 channels which I thought were on that.

The Astra 2F Euro beam was switched on last week for the first time after they took over some of the old Eutelsat frequencies.

You'll probably have to wait for 1N to leave before you get the missing Sky Sports channels back.

Thanks Timo. There you go, I thought it had been operational since it went up last year. This is the first time that I've seen any suggestion of that. This presumably explains why we've had nothing from 2F previously. I'm lost now.
