Sounds like a very busy day VS, well done some good progress:), after reading hours of your post over time and you naming your dishes, me and the wife have decided on our dish names.

Do we have a thread with dish names with pictures ?/ maybe why we have chosen the names, it would be good if not and something to relate to ?.
Naming dishes ain't to everyones taste Martin ..
I find it very convenient to refer to them by name ..paticularly when posting..
fwiw my rules for naming are PFs = Female....and Offsets Male.

Christina is named for my favourite pint sized venus of an actress Christina Ricci ..
Like my alcoa ..simply beautiful.
Carl my most recent named for Carl Sagan..one of my heroes..and replaces Neil ..named for Neil Armstrong as it went into service at my QTH roughly about the time he died. ..another Hero.
Tom Dick and Harry named for the tunnels in the great escape..
Like them they were my original dishes (Ku) and like the hobby I love ...also _my_ great escape.
Tom and Dick often work in tandem covering a section of arc each with a small overlap ..
Where one finishes ..t'other takes over ..
Harry being a reserve ..but currently used for Ka only at 19.2 East
Make of it what you will ...
either I'm a sentimental old sod ..or a nut-job.
Make up yer own mind.
;)

The shipping containers holding back the waves at Dawlish were damaged by the storm over the weekend:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26232862

Its amazing just how bent they are now!

Considering the amount of damage the waves caused to the wall defending the railway from the waves, it's hardly surprising that the shipping containers, which are tinfoil in comparison to the stone walls, are all mangled already....

Was happy to get a full day of sunshine on Sunday. Partly cloudy now but let's hope this crappy wet weather is behind us now.

It was a nice day here today, the sun was out until around 3pm/4pm ish and it wasn't that cold, I was in and out of the office checking fuel and moving cars most of the day and I didn't need to don the jacket once

Same here, but if we get another march heatwave, we're probably not going to see any snow until December... <_<

The snow will turn up just as the hosepipe ban finishes

Another sign of Spring:

It was around 12C at 22.30 when SWMBO and I got back from our respective hobby evenings out and the lanes around the village were covering in a carpet of thousands upon thousands of Frogs.

A significant number are still in place, being rather flat!
