Hi
Can someone tell me what satellite/s Belgium tv comes from...As far as i can tell they may be from several sats..19.2....13e etc..
Also would a 1.8m prime focus dish in Spain be overkill for these sats?

Belgium Tv is mainly on 19ª east with TVVlanderen and Telesat.

On 13East you have ABSAT.

You dish is good enough for that sats.

Would the dish be too big for those satellites? Would it swamp out some of the transponders, or is it ok?
Thanks Richard

Well you could always insert an attenuator if there are any overloading issues.

However, it would be interesting to know why you'd want to use such an enormous dish in the first place - unless it's the only spare one you've got lying around!

Probably better all round to use a more realistic dish like an 80cm with a 6 degree Monoblock LNB.

Yes i know it would be a bit of a strange setup using a big dish for these sats
The reason that i asked is because someone i know is selling a property which has a 1.8 dish already installed , the people that are moving in will only be using it for 19.2/13e etc and wanted to know if it was too big for those sats..I suggested a smaller motorised dish or as you say a stationary dish with a monoblock

Don't forget not all Belgian channels are on satellites because 95% have cable. You might be slightly interested in French or Dutch TV to get more channels.
