Are you trying to get the BBC channels on 27.5W?
Most HD receivers should be able to scan them in but they are encrypted, in BISS, and might not be available for too long.

Hi thank you yes. I know they are encrypted so I want a receiver that has software to keep up to date with the ummmmm unencrypting so to speak.

I know nothing about receivers any chance you could reccommend a few makes names models?

Just be prepared for it to go down at any moment. Accept that you may buy a box and get one week or a year's viewing out of it... Every time someone hooks up another receiver it's another nail in the coffin...

Just for Quickness for the OP any of the following will do it TM5402HD, Blade7000s, Technomate 6902,7102 and the new TMF3/5, CT 4100 DrHD F15,D15, Grand & Grand Triple. The cheapest is probably the F3/5 over here it is anyway

A heads up on Intelsat 907 27.5. Arquiva are well aware of what's going on but have yet to make a public comment.

To be honest, I'm surprised they guarded them so feebly in the first place!

It wont stay open long term or even medium term. BBC / Arqiva will have to do something to stop the signal leakage.

I don't know why broadcasters bother with BISS. it's been broken for many years now.

Also, is it me or is the image quality on 27.5w a lot worse than the one on 28.2e?

I bet they have been waiting for Astra 2E to go live, and for lots of people to invest in an Intelsat system. When enough people have spent their hard earned on a system they will change encyption! (I do have a bit of a negative outlook don´t I).
