I suspect that PC related Magazines give Discs away as "freebies" on occasion.

The best way of shedding wariness would be for Retailers to sell PCs preloaded, but who ever bought a Betamax Recorder? (Hang on - I did!)

Still got mine in the museum ,,,errrr,,,,loft...
I keep it for those rare occasions when a customer brings in a beloved wedding or christening vid ...and asks for tape t0 disc transfer ...

I keep it right next to my Phillips 2000 ....and my Phillips 8 track style 1700...
Remember them ??

Well I have both IE and Firefox on my desktop..
There is no getting away from the fact certain activeX controls only work with IE ..and as such I need these apps ..

Yes, ironically I ordered a Technomate 5402 ( for yet another 'toy' to play with..) at the weekend from the uk and I could not get the Parcel Force tracking service to work in Firefox so reverted to IE.......probably only the second or third time in a year!!

No ..I meant the video recorder invented by Philips to fill the gap between reel to reel video recording and the coming of domestic vcrs..
The tape cassette is similar in that the 2 reels are stacked vertically..
Philips N1500, N1700 and V2000 systems.

and this friendly available tool/checksum app is .....?????
..and why make it so convoluted ..?
A simple bootable ISO would get more peeps on board I think.

The Instructions are available via the Menu on the Download site (The "Documentation" Tab), in particular pages 8-11 which tell you how to Checksum in Windows and where to get a suitable Windows App. for creating the Bootable device.

Shouldn't take more than a few minutes, if you haven't cracked it already!

As you're planning to install it on a virgin PC, then the Checksum stage can be bypassed as you can't do any harm, but I'd be inclined, for the sake of a few key strokes, to do it anyway.

I've never had an issue with using the ParcelFarce tracking site, it's just the delivery people who have issues with working properly... :-rofl2

That said, you appear to be using a different site for tracking, as I usually use this one:

http://www.parcelforce.com/track-trace

:confused

Thanks for that.

The site I used was the one Parcel Force gave me in their email following the goods being ordered....¿Perhaps this is the norm with exported goods?

Anyway, tried the one you indicated and that worked first time in Firefox so job done.

Again, thanks and enjoy your day.

I've only used ParcelFarce for domestic and imported packages, so I haven't a clue about exported packages, but the above site works well, usually, occasionally it burps out a "can't find anything" error cos it's special... :-rofl2
