Can't get Astra 2E 2F or 2G? Heres where to find the main psb channels

You wont get all the UK Public Service Broadcast channels but there are a few available away from Astra 2E & 2F uk beams if you know where to look.


From late 2023 BBC & ITV SD services are being gradually shut down leaving HD as the only available services

Top section is the SD channels - see below for the HD arrangements

All the BBC standard def broadcast channels were closed down in Jan 2024

ITV 1 / 1+1 / UTV & STV
All ITV1 / 1+1 / UTV & STV standard def sevices are being progressively shut down from late 2023

ITV 2 / 2 +1
only available on Astra 2 UK beam

ITV 3 / 3 +1
ITV 3 SD was closed down January 2024. ITV 3 +1 continues for the time being but is only available on Astra 2 UK beam

ITV 4 / 4 +1
ITV 4 SD was closed down January 2024. ITV 4 +1 continues for the time being but is only available on Astra 2 UK beam

ITV Be / Be +1
The underperforming ITV Be was shut down in June 2025 & replaced with ITV Quiz

both are only available on Astra 2 UK beam

4seven
4seven is only available on Astra 2 UK beam

Film4 / Film4 +1
both are only available on Astra 2 UK beam

4Music
is fta on 11264H 27500

From January 2024, all BBC tv services are now only available in HD and all are exclusively on the Astra 2 UK beam

ITV1 HD - only carried on Astra 2 UK beams
ITV1 HD Wales - only carried on Astra 2 UK beam
STV HD - varies
STV West HD (Glasgow) - only carried on Astra 2 UK beam
STV East HD (Edinburgh) - encrypted on 12110H 27500
STV Tayside (Dundee) - encrypted on 12090V 27500
STV North HD (Aberdeen) - encrypted on 12226H 27500
UTV HD - only carried on the 2 UK beam
ITV 2 HD - only carried on the Astra 2 UK beam
ITV 3 HD - only carried on the Astra 2 UK beam
ITV 4 HD - only carried on the Astra 2 UK beam

C4 HD - only carried on Astra 2 UK beam
E4 HD - is on 11856V 27500 but is a hd subscription service.
More4 HD - is on 12266V 27500 but is a hd subscription service.

C5 HD - only carried on the Astra 2 UK beam

Excellent!

I did have some issues with it not displaying channels - just a message to ring sly or an upgrade and get robbed,

But an excellent list for reference.
 
Great that I can still get C4 on my Pace2600. I thought I´d lost it for good as Astra2D horizontals are too weak on my undersized 1m50 dish in NW Spain. I´ll add it to the extra channels menu tonight. Many thanks Analoguesat!

Not only is the C4 channel still blank, but its lost its epg info - which is what I was working on last night. So not quite sure what going on there now.

Ive also received info that the E4 / More4 Irish versions arent ftv - can some folks confirm please? I'll change the status on the top post in the meantime.
 
Yes, Irish E4 and More4 are subscription, but any UK subscription works for them.
 
Updated for the latest info on C4 / C4 +1 / E4 +1. can someone tell me the encryption level of E4 +1 - I assume its subscription not ftv.

All I know is - E4 Ireland works on my first box with my basic UK subscription but not with my second box with a UK FTV card - crazy.

Some of the channels on 12480V have now been renamed to Channel 4, Channel 4+1 and E4+1 and my Irish card is now mapping to this frequency. Excellent stuff!

Looks to me like More4 Ireland and E4 Ireland have left 11565V - I can only get these on 12480 now - still there though, thank you Channel 4, yes, I love your output and I will buy all the things in your adverts in return for you not going 100% to 2D :)
 
Yes - the 11565H versions ceased yesterday - and were removed from the list at the top of the page :D
 
How come More 4+1 is FTV and More 4 not?

BBC Interactive channels on 2B South beam, 12441V

often showing premium BBC Sports programmes, _http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tv_and_radio/5345480.stm , a valuable resource for people who cannot get 2D
