Some chatter about as of late that Sky are going to do a card change soon, with a nice pic of a red sky card doing the rounds. Could just be nonsense of course, but the timing would be pretty consistent with past swaps I think?

Has anyone else heard anything?

Wouldn't be surprised if that happened. Been a while since the last change.

If you think about it, the last change was in 2009 so its been five years since the last one. We will just have to wait and see what happens. I have seen posts on other forums during the last swap out that did state that NDS and Sky have contractual obligations to swap out the cards every 5 years. No idea if CISCO have kept that arrangement when they purchased NDS .

Installers have been issued with the new red cards some weeks ago and use them on new installs if the customers own card has not yet arrived. They should start being posted out to customers very soon now.

Picture of new card here (although accuracy of the rest of the report leaves a lot to be desired) - http://iptvking.com/?p=645

I very much doubt a major card swap roll out will start this side of Christmas.

Isn't it usually mentioned on the Sky websites too with step by step guides on how to swap cards?

4) jump up and down with rage when you find your card no longer card shares to half the country in your none Sky receiver and your reciprocal access to some extremely hard core channels is rescinded

I think they would make great ice scrappers. At least you will be able to see them in the snow if you drop it :D
