Could a member kindly advise what the skew position is for the above satellites from my position in South Africa at 34 Lat and 19 long against a 12 hour clock looking at the front of the dish.I was advised 7 o,clock for E4.8 and 5 o,clock for E7.I am enquiring due to the closeness of the two satellites and the degree difference between 5 and 7.

My Satellite Setup
OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

The best way is to go to dishpointer dot com and enter you exact address, then select one of the satellites, this will give you the info you need to point and align your dish.

Trying to get two satellites 2 degrees apart with one LNB may be a challenge.

Thanks Terryl.I did that but my problem is that I receive a signal from both satellites at a skew of 7 o,clock.I know 7 o,clock is correct for E4.8 but need confirmation that it is 5 o,clock for E7 in deed.

Thanks Enosat.I am next to the sea at 33.91 and 18.45.
Hermanus Western Cape,South Africa. On the 12 hour clock what does 21 and 23 degrees equate too.

To further clarify, I am referring to the position of the cable connector on the lnb facing the dish.

Eutelsat 7E seems to have the eutelsat preskew of 3.535 degrees, so both satellites have a skew of about -19 degree for you.

Every "hour" of the hour hand of the clock equals 30 degrees.
'Minus' means counterclockwise when looking towards the satellite, so clockwise when looking into the dish.

So the cable connector should point at a little bit less than 7 o'clock.

In practice, a few degree more or less skew is not really important; unless you have very marginal reception.
LNB in focal point and correct aiming of the dish are far more important.
