The same for me. If you follow the link from Huevos in Post 73, you will see the visual confirmation. You just need to chnge the number of days at the end of the link to step backwards in time (if only we could !).

Changed my BU Quad for a GooBay on Sunday. Gained over 1dB across most txps of interest with the exception of 10714 which hardly changed, may be a freak reading. Did note signal was up on previous tests at same time of day on BU prior to change, but was more impressed that am now getting up to 11dB s/n on 10906 and 10818, highest I have recorded in passed was about 10dB

Signal has jumped up a bit here too.

What's a goobay?
Wow 11db on 10818, you lucky s*d jeje

Check out chit - chat thread, photo of GooBay on my FTE Max 1.5. Good LNB, gold plated connectors, 0.1dB "n/f" and 10 year warranty.

More important, best quad I have found to date (thanks Huevos) ((cheque is in the post!))

Must be set up wrong. I'm getting 100% reliability on all transponders on all the LH110 dishes that I've set up in that area over the last 2 years.

Down here signal is much weaker but my LH110 test dish still picks up all transponders 24/7 with SNR above 8dB (except 10862).

I will try a tweak when the weather cools down(next 10 days look hot) and the local fiesta finished, too hot to work on a south facing balcony at the moment. Are the channels on 10729 and 10847 all 24/7 as would give me a full house as it were so well worth the effort of a realign. My previous experience (80s-90s) of dish alignment used fully motorised pan and tilt units for temporary installs, those were the days.

Terry, next ten days will do fine! What do you think Huevos, I and others do everyday! Where you are, all you need is a/an 110. you will get all sd and some hd on that, no prob!

Next 5 days out due to 2nd test match, I retired about 10 years ago so plenty of time to sort things.
Just a little too laid back these days, definite case of the mañanas here in sunny alqueria de la comtessa.

You should have no problems with 10818 (or any of the main FTA frequencies ) on a 1x1.1m dish where you live - unless the dish is warped...
the few 90x100cm I have seen the last few days in this area have this frequency fine - and sill fine on my 80x85cm dish (just to rub it in! :) )

Not quite February but has picked up a lot since last week.

It's obvious that the signal has improved a lot over the last week, but looking back over the last 6 months or so using your graphs, it seems to me that, visually, the 2E signal has become more stable. There are less severe peaks and troughs, and the 2E signal line now looks a lot flatter, and comparable to 2F. Previously there was quite a considerable difference between the graph lines of the two sats, whereas now, although not in sync, they broadly look quite similar.

Is it possible that they are bringing the daily wobble gradually under control ? Did 2F show something similar in its early days, and then finally settled down? Of course, this is just a visual impression, it would need access to the raw data of 2E to trace the highs, lows and averages during the whole period of your monitoring to see if there is a gradual improvement.

Or is it just a seasonal blip ?

Wait until February and then we'll know.

Fluctuation of 2E throughout the day is about 0.75 dB, exactly the same as February. On the graphs where signal is a bit spiky, this is normally down to rain.

After much deliberation and a bit of well intentioned leg pulling(thanks to woborny and his 85cm dish) I now have a full house of channels HD and SD including BBC2 HD.

Thanks to all for all the info, just needed to find the energy. I wish seasonal fluctuations occurred in winter, so much cooler for working on a south facing balconies.

Definitely not a golf fan, would rather watch QVC. I had better have another glass of wine as skipped lunch on the balcony, shame to waste those unused calories on food.
I would work in spain but refuse to work for a year for 3 months london wages(or 6 months devon wages) as its too damn hot to work here. Work in London, retire in spain:D
