Customer Service?

Just spent over half an hour in a queue to change my Tariff with Scottish Power.

They try to get you to do everything Online so don't have many Staff manning the phones.

The trouble is, the Online system often fails miserably, so you are obliged to phone them anyway!

Anyone else had trouble with Customer Service?



PS: I Posted this as I continue to wait ............................. 38 minutes so far.

Finally answered after 46 minutes: A further 13 minutes have elapsed and I am back on hold due to a "problem".

Phew!

On the phone for exactly one hour, but got the business done and also have a £12 Credit applied as a result of their cr*pness.

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Ditch and switch from the big boys and go for one of the smaller suppliers, I'm with Ovo Energy and they always answer within a minute or two and the calls never last longer than 15 minutes, assuming I even need to call as I never have any issues, after all, if they don't care for their customers, their customers won't care for them... :)

Yes, I may well do that next year.

Suffering from inertia right now (Which is what the sharks rely on, of course).

I definitely try to stay away from the big companies. They may be slightly cheaper but the years of life you lose through stress of trying to get hold of them when something goes wrong just isn't worth it.
