Eutelsat 10A - Mozambique package

Kingofsat reports TV Mocambique is FTA now, on 10832.00MHz, pol.V SR:8876 FEC:5/6.
As mentioned above this transponder behaves like multistream, while not showing as such in Crazyscan.
So on the F16 it scans the services and gives a wild dB value, but no picture.
With the TBS 6925 no problem.

I had go for this one last night. The Duo scanned the freq for ages then failed to show any channels

As a general rule,depending on FEC,to be sure you lock signals in dvb-s and dvb-s2/8psk minimum values in dB are following:

CNR-BER<1e-10

signal in DVB-S:

Fec 1/2<CNR dB:2.8
Fec 2/3<CNR dB:4.6
Fec 3/4<CNR dB:5.5
Fec 5/6<CNR dB:6.7
Fec 7/8<CNR dB:7.2

signal in DVB-S2/8psk:

Fec 3/5<CNR dB:6.5
Fec 2/3<CNR dB:7.6
Fec 3/4<CNR dB:8/9
Fec 5/6<CNR dB:10.5
Fec 8/9<CNR dB:11.1
Fec 9/10<CNR dB:11.4

signal in 16APSK,PER=10e-7

Fec 2/3<CNR dB:9.8
Fec 3/4<CNR dB:11
Fec 4/5<CNR dB:11.8

Of course that also depends on the quality of the tuner and how is being calibrated.It is not enough for a tuner to see week signal,but also to lock him up!A large fluctuation of the signal,BER increases, especially if it is at the edge of the footprint.To a high FEC.it is necessry a strong signal.

When Ive got a few minutes I'll run a cable along the fence so I can connect 9/10E to the Skybox F3 which has a slightly better tuner than the one in the Vu+
