Silly question, I have official dstv box and card and was wondering what would it look like if connected it up to my dish which presumably only gets a few transponders and not all?Would it only show the channels on those TPs?or nothing at all thanks

Yes, you'll probably get some transponders but it depends on how the box works. Sometimes they look for a signal on a specific frequency to tune in to others but... you are likely to get something.

I very much doubt you will get one from a European dealer. We are just too far out of range to make it worthwhile.

You would probably have to import one from SA.

I hear it's a fairly easy beam to receive in Western Europe..Spain and France. Certainly a guy in Wales received all transponders on his 2.4m dish.

Sadly a 2.4m dish is just not feasable for 99.9% of the UK population.

This being a country where minidishes were sold on the basis that they werent so ugly as the old round ones (60cm in much of the UK!)

I had mine imported, however their was a site I came across that sold them with the sub but I recently deleted it and cant for the life of me remember the name.

Tried to see what I could get from the 36E (encrypted or not) and about 230 channels came in after blind scan, with a 1.2 Dish.
Some were opening but others no, and then again for only a few mins. But I never managed to open these channels before not even briefly.

Yeah, I get 12245H as well but that's the only Multichoice SA transponder that works... and always had done.

I am getting a good lock on 12245 on the 1.2, I think i could lock this one on my 1mtr dish.

It's a heck of a side lobe from somewhere as far as sub-Saharan Africa!

That's the only lock I have on this beam, not getting any movement on the others.

would you please tell us which tps you are able to receive with levels and equipment you are using - you got Dreambox 7020HD, TM F 5 / 3 which tuner Is more capable of working with low signal threshold
