According to the French Journal Officielle , satellite operator Eutelsat has been granted permission to use the 4 degrees west orbital position for a period of 20 years . This slot has been used for many years by Israeli satellite operator Spacecom for its AMOS satellites.

The satellite assigned by Eutelsat to 4 degrees west is the HotBird 7A, currently operating at 13 degrees east. This satellite is soon to be replaced by a new "HotBird" . Once at 4 degrees west, HotBird 7A will be re-named to RADIOSAT 4C and its will be used for broadcasting radio services.

Some interesting frequency coordination will be needed here if this is correct - they need to avoid interfering with the Amos craft at 4W and their own French craft AB3 at 5W
