Hi people.

My ISP has for some reason (and without notifying me) reduced the amount of free webspace I get with my account from 50Mb to 15Mb!

I use it to host a club website, and it's now trashed, as the FTP update has left the local and remote sites very out of sync.

I therefore quite urgently need about 50 - 100Mb of reliable webspace that I can FTP to.

Does anyone have any experience of a good source of free (or very nearly free) webspace?

I don't care if I have to jump through a few hoops to get it, like registering, opening accounts somewhere or whatever. It just can't cost anything, as the club can't afford to spend any cash!

Even a short term solution would be good, as I'm going to be changing ISP soon.

Thanks

I have some space (500M:cool: that I hardly use. I should have it for the next six months or so at least, you can use some of it if you want stick while you look for something more long term.

Thanks fellas. I'm just panicing now as to all the stuff I'm going to have to change... hard-coded links, CGI scripts etc etc. ARRRGGGHHH!!!

Thanks for the offer PM. Does your server have a perl interpreter and a sendmail program running?

To be honest I’m not that sure what it supports. I don’t run it, it’s run by a society connected to the university (hence the amount of space, speed and unlimited bandwidth which is provided by them). I only ever use it as storage and image hosting.

I can PM you the details if you want to play around to see what it does.

EDIT: Actually I doubt very much it has a sendmail program on it.

OK, no worries m8.

I just have a form on the site which mails me registration details a few times a year, but I need to support it.

Thanks again.

O.K. Sorted now thanks.

Nabbed my old mans 50Mb of webspace, and while it didn't support all the form functions I needed, I just hosted those pages on my existing server until I can rewrite them.

:)
