There seems to be a problem with the YouTube app on this freesat receiver. It will work fine for a couple of days playing videos no problem and then all of a sudden whilst watching a video it will stop and just show a message onscreen 'loading'. The only way to get the app to work correctly is to unplug the receiver and plug it back in again. This is getting annoying.

Faulty box or broken app?

Broken app almost certainly. They will be tested as working, but not for several days....

Well I wish they would fix the app it is a pain to have to get up and unplug the box every few days.

I'm sure Humax will try and address this soon.
TBH, the app is a YouTube product, ported and integrated by Humax. The problems start when you have a memory leak or similar - Humax may not be able to fix this without requiring YouTube (google) aid, and they may already be on a newer version etcetc.
It sometimes get terribly complex, for no real reason - and we, as consumers, are left out with booting our STBs every other night...

Frankly a memory leak in the youtube app this large can't be too hard to spot. Judging by the licence stuff in the manual there is some form of linux under the box. There is an excellent utility called Valgrind that can spot the source of this stuff easily. Didn't they do QA on this stuff?

I don't think they care to be honest.
