Its already available on HD boxes with the new epg :D

Has to be added through Add Channels then watched through Other Channels.

It only broadcasts a few hours per week, showing the message you see for the rest of the time.

Just got a Humax Foxsat HD receiver.
Can anyone help me get ITV HD (& channel 4 etc).
At the moment it only finds BBC HD.

Does the scan have to be done in Freesat or Manual mode?

Greateful for any help provided

I suspect your question has arisen because you can't see a Channel called ITV HD in your Freesat list: But don't worry as ITV HD does not appear on the EPG as it is a part time Channel intended to be accessed via the Red Button when prompted on screen.

If you read the linked Thread, it gives details of how you might find it separately, but that actually gains you nothing as the Foxsat will notify you when an ITV Prog can be viewed in HD.

As for Channel 4, if you mean Channel 4 HD specifically, then this is not a Freesat Channel yet (and no-one knows when it will be). It is currently Encrypted and Free To View (ie not Free To Air) on Sky.

I've still got the message 'Itv HD is currently not available' on the Topfield box. You don't say what box your using - might help find other members with same problem?
I assume you've got a blank screen not the message we all have to see whenever they decide to switch off the HD! They are a bit blunt, it just dissappears.

I purchased a Panasonic TX-L37V10E the other day. It's the european non-Freesat model.

Has anyone any experience here?? I'm wondering if I can save the channel listing using the "hotel.pwd" facility and somehow use a hexadecimal editor to change the PIDs??

What do the preferencies in hotel mode give you? Usually they're just for setting up picture and video/audio outputs.

Hi,

By inserting an SD card in the TV with a blank file called hotel.pwd one is prompted for a password - 4850. Upon receiving this password the TV dumps the channel list (configuration) in a folder called hotel_setup on the SD card. The card can then be inserten into other (hotel) TVs and giving a password 4851 the channel list is uploaded.

I have only opened the channel list in Textpad, enough to see that it's in binary. I was hoping that some wizz kid in this forum might know how to edit the file??

sorry i haven't been around for a while i got it sorted,ITVHD works now it to echosmart7109 HD box it was from pids i had wrong ones...

IF you load the latest software and allow the epg to load on initial reboot you will have access to the full 7 day epg. Press epg button then move to ITV HD in the channel list (channel 110 I think in our preformated list) then select green button ...you can now scroll through days of the week at a glance to determine what is on ITV HD. Usually 9pm most evenings plus footy occassionally and each Saturday for next 3 weeks Star Wars is on.

This is down two a couple of issues. We did have a sound issue but it is fixed on the latest sw ... Itv also has issues quite often with there HD broadcasts ... They are by no means in BBC's league yet.

Try the latest sw just to be sure. If you are still having issues pm me. Watch StArwars in full with no sound issues ... The last few footy matches have had broadcasts problems.

I'm getting sick and tired of this. I can't get this bloody service added to my DM800. I edited my LameDB with DCC and successfully added a new service ITV HD using the following details...

290E:011A0000:090B:003B:1:0
ITV HD
p:BSkyB,c:000D49,c:030D49,c:040D4A,c:050001,f:5

...but when I view the channel it picks up Disney Cinemagic listings and there is no picture.

I have tried following the instructions here using Dreamboxedit but the new service fails to appear in the channel list.

This is the info that Dreamboxedit adds to LameDB...
