Every so often Im seeing digital smearing on the picture (11223V). Its the same sort of effect you get on a weak signal, although there seems to be plenty of signal.

2 receivers - the Duo & a Humax HD in the bedroom.

Also affects RT HD on the same frequency

Anyone else confirm this?

Perfect reception, Humax HDR and Skybox F3, two different dishes.

Some sort of local interference?

Edit: Whoa, not so - watched a little longer and the effect does indeed show, but only on the Humax HDR/Toy Dish combo.

Still seems fine on F3/A different Toy Dish

Weird.

Still the same, streaky flashes of pixellation towards the bottom of the screen on one combo, but not the other.

I can offer no explanation.

Seperate 80 cm dish on 28E with a Humax Freesat for SWMBO.

Checked with the motorised dish and Dr.HD...nothing wrong that I can see...though it's 7.9dB compared to BBC News HD at 11.1dB

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Could be the downlink before the European bounce.

If you can see these artefacts on NHK, RT HD is probably also affected. Both seem to use the same type of encoder. BBC HD shows slightly different parameters.

SWMBO has reported it on our Sky 2TB box as well now. Must be a transmission problem. I'll message NHK via their fb page

Multiple receivers of different types in different locations?

Different types? You mean different brandings of the same product ;)
Different location? Sat is broadcast. All replies report SNR > threshold for QEF. :)

Sky box, Vu+ Duo pos & Humax HD all showing similar artifacts here at different times of day. Theres no new sources of interference in the vicinity, (a very quiet valley with hills shielding us in 3 directions, almost no neighbours). No changes at all inside our house. The dish has clear los onto 28E, and the lnb is reasonable new.

28E Astra 2 channels seem to be unaffected.

If there are transmission errors due to any kind of interference, you should see them with an analyser like TSReader or TransEdit.
