I have upgraded to Panasonic 32" TV with Freesat tuner and Freesat dish. Now I need to get a 15" TV to fit in a space in the kitchen unit but I'm told that there are no 15" TV's with Freesat tuner built in. I haven't been able to find any on Google.

Anyone seen any 15" TV's with freesat tuner installed?

I would think it unlikely as there is less room, profitwise, for a manufacturer to build in this "value added" extra on a small TV.

Think that's a Freeview TV Topper, as far as I know only Panasonic have Freesat TVs available at the moment, Technisat have made TVs with integral satellite tuners for a long while now, but not with the Freesat software.

You can get FTA satellite (NOT FREESAT) built into a scart plug,

Thanks for your replies
Is it possible to get a freesat set top box?

Plenty of those out there, smallest (and cheapest) is probably the Alba SD box.

Does this mean I could buy a TV with no tuner and plug in a freesat set top box?

No, I meant a real TV which does not have any tuner in it, Freesat or Freeview and then get the signal through a Freesat set top top box from my Freesat dish.

You will struggle to find a TV without a tuner of any type, but it doesn't matter if it has a tuner, as long as it has a scart input.

Surely a TV without a tuner is a monitor?

They are available for speialist applications such as closed circuit cameras but are usually more expensive than a similar sized TV. They are produced to a higher specification as they are quite often left switched on all the time.

There are a lot of analogue only TVs available now at very reasonable prices. There might be something there to suit you.

I think what is meant by "No Tuner" is a non digital TV without either a Freeview or Freesat tuner built in. In which case any tv will do if it has a scart socket for to connect the Freesat box.:)

Does this mean that it must be a digital TV? So could I buy a 15" TV with a Freeview tuner and connect to a Freesat top box with a scart lead?

You can use any TV as long as it has an AV input, be it scart or RCA phono, the type of tuner is irrelevant, as you won't be using it.

Why not go for one of the HDMI TV's just in case you decide to buy a Freesat HD box ?
Plenty of bargains out there at the moment.
